I would have to say my favourite aspect about working at Gilbert Meher is their “needs must” approach to working. Working in an international market means I have to be very flexible with my working hours (factoring travel time into this). The Directors have been very accommodating in working around my schedule, and trusting in my integrity to continue working in the home office setting.
This, coupled with their 4-day week initiative has allowed me to continue performing at a high standard, whilst keeping my life admin in check. Having that headspace and extra time in the week to get things done keeps me feeling refreshed and up to the task, whatever time zone I’m working in.
After a career in teaching, it was a struggle to find something that put my skills to use, whilst still providing an “every day is unique” feel in the workplace. A stimulating work environment is a must for me, and when Gilbert Meher mentioned they were looking to start a Medical Device desk, it seemed like the perfect opportunity to combine my interest in science with the chance to develop my skills in the global business arens.
Gilbert Meher are so successful in each market because the Director’s give their consultants the mentoring, space, and focus to become experts in their field. Because the company’s focus is more on doing what is necessary (rather than the minutia of excessive KPIs), their staff have the time to consult with their clients and candidates, ensuring that they find the best-fit for both parties. Taking the time to fully understand the profile the client is looking for and the motivations of each candidate towards their new role reduces candidate drop-out rates, and ensures the most relevant candidates are matched with opportunities to suit their needs.
