💵£26,460 - £34,631. 

As art tutor you will exhibit exemplary teaching skills, have the ability to deliver a range of qualifications and ensure that learners are progressing towards their targets as part of the art/enterprise curriculum. These skills will be transferrable to a variety of real-life situations and contexts in preparation for adulthood.

You can expect to model outstanding planning, assessment and teaching in order to achieve high quality teaching, effective use of resources and the highest standards of learning and achievement for all learners. You will also manage all aspects of the learners experience, including their whole journey process, and provide detailed information about their progress and performance. Your relationship with learners is crucial in successfully managing their journey, but you must also laise with parents/carers and build effective relationships to manage and resolve learner issues and concerns. 

Essential criteria

  • A degree in an appropriate discipline or significant relevant industry experience
  • PGCE or Cert Ed Level 4
  • Experience teaching learners with autism and MLD within a special education setting
  • In depth understanding of Ofsted’s Education Inspection Framework (EIF)

The organisation
This is an independent specialist college for young people with learning disabilities and difficulties. The college offers a wide range of programmes that are tailored to each individual’s needs. 

The college operates from several sites across; Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and South Yorkshire, with our main site located in Sheffield. Our staff are required to work on a range of different sites, including; college campuses, employer’s premises or communities local to your learners home - therefore willingness to travel is essential.
