Gilbert Meher is proud of its partnership with Vision Beyond Autism (VBA) a CQC-registered Community Interest Company. For 12 years, VBA has provided support services for children and young adults with complex autism, employing ABA. Founded and led by parents, VBA helps clients access education, work, and leisure, emphasising skill acquisition for greater choice and quality of life. Now seeking its inaugural CEO, VBA requires a dedicated professional ready to lead and embrace challenges for substantial short-term and steady long-term growth.
Position Summary
As the Chief Executive Officer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing the strategic, administrative, commercial, financial, and management aspects of VBA. You will lead a dynamic team, engage with stakeholders, and uphold the values and objectives of the CIC. Your leadership will be integral to driving the organisation's growth and ensuring its success in providing exceptional community support for individuals with complex autism.
Responsibilities
- Foster strong working relationships with beneficiaries to gather insights on organisational performance.
- Cultivate partnerships with external organisations to expand VBA's reach and meet strategic objectives.
- Promote a culture of equality, professionalism, and inclusion.
- Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead Officer, ensuring safety and protection measures.
- Fulfil responsibilities as Registered Manager, complying with CQC regulations and legal requirements.
- Collaborate with the Board of Directors to develop and implement long-term strategies and annual plans.
- Report on CIC performance against the strategic plan, highlighting variations and risks.
- Manage the Marketing Strategy, including the website and social media presence.
- Foster relationships with politicians, media, and government officials to advance VBA's goals.
- Ensure compliance with CIC Regulators' requirements and submit reports and accounts.
- Uphold Data Protection and Health and Safety policies.
- Develop and implement financial plans aligned with the Board's strategic direction.
- Manage operational functions and infrastructure for service delivery.
Qualifications and Skills- Professional qualification recognised by the Care Quality Commission as a Registered Manager.
- Management experience in social care, health, education, or related settings.
- Leadership and budget management experience.
- Experience in complex autism, ABA/PBS, contract negotiation, quality assurance, working with families.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and budgetary skills.
- Understanding of safeguarding and relevant legislation.
- Strong teamwork, strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Reliability, empathy, commitment to equality, and support for disabled individuals.
- Commitment to professional development, equality, and fairness.
Desirable: - Experience in starting up Supported Living Services
