Job Description:
As an Engineering Manager with either an electrical or mechanical bias, you will oversee and coordinate the engineering activities within our organization. Key responsibilities include:
Leading and managing a team of 12 engineers (Electrical / Mechanical / Team Leaders and Projects), providing guidance and support.
Ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of electrical/mechanical systems and equipment.
Developing and implementing preventative maintenance programs to optimize performance and minimize downtime.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to support production and operational goals.
Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
Managing budgets, tracking costs, and implementing cost-effective measures.
Utilizing your expertise to drive continuous improvement and Maintenance initiatives.
Providing technical guidance and support to Maintenance and Engineering team members.
Developing and implementing training programs to enhance the skills of the engineering team.
Qualifications and Skills:
To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:
Degree / HNC or Apprenticeship in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering field (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience in a managerial role within an Fast paced Manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of electrical or mechanical systems and equipment.
Familiarity with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
