Gilbert Meher are proud to be representing The Disabilities Trust in their search for an Executive Director – Service Delivery. The Disabilities Trust are a highly reputable leading charity supporting and improving the lives of individuals with brain injuries in the UK and are currently at a really exciting period strategically. As a result, we are seeking an executive who as part of the newly formed Executive Leadership Team can help the Disabilities Trust achieve their strategic ambition to be a global leader in their field and to drive extensive growth and development whilst maintaining the clinical and operational excellence in services across the country.
This newly created role will provide leadership for a broad portfolio of functions and focus on driving excellence across Operations, Clinical Services, Quality Assurance, Governance & Safeguarding and Business Development. It is really important for candidates to have experience in driving a company’s strategy and deputizing for the CEO where required. The Trust are at the beginning of a really exciting period where the intention is to grow as a provider, along with driving true social change and becoming a much more well-known name in the sector.

Responsibilities (included but not limited to)

  • Lead on, drive and implement the strategy for the charity
  • Ensure all services are compliant with regulatory standards
  • Provide leadership and expert advice to the CEO and board of Trustees
  • Develop new, long-term operational strategies to continually improve the care and support provided
  • Develop sustainable services ensuring the Trust continues as the leading provider in delivery of positive outcomes for people with brain injury
  • Work with operations and quality teams to maintain an effective compliance framework
  • Represent the Executive and Senior leadership teams relevant to your areas of responsibility
Essential Experience/Requirements
  • Experience in an executive leadership role driving company strategy
  • Experience in delivering against commercial and service delivery targets
  • Expertise in commissioning brain injury services in hospital, residential or supported living settings.
  • Demonstrable experience in leading, developing, managing and motivating high-performing teams
  • Ability to think strategically and creatively, develop business cases to gain approval and implement improvements
  • Ability to initiate, develop and implement effective strategies with clear goals and to make clear, informed, appropriate and timely decisions
