Gilbert Meher are working closely with a market leading education and care provider who specialise is services for children with varied complex needs.
We are looking for a headteacher for a specialist school in Surrey that caters for children between the ages of 5-19 who have struggled within a mainstream environment. This may be a result of specific learning difficulties with dyslexia, through to those with more complex communication and interaction difficulties associated with Asperger’s Syndrome and high functioning autism.
The school is a residential setting
The Head Teacher is ultimately accountable for all areas of operational and educational performance within a specialist school for children with an EHCP. The scope of the role will vary depending upon the specific student population’s needs and the type of school.
The ideal candidate will have; previous permanent headship experience, preferably leading a school that caters for special needs. You will have a teaching qualification and hold NPQH. (or be willing to work towards this).
This role is to start ASAP.
