As the HSE Manager you will drive and improve performance by implementing Health and Safety strategic direction with the business, encouraging a safety-first culture. You will conduct regular site inspections to check policies and procedures are adhere to, working closely with senior staff to develop and implement processes in line with compliance needs. As the HSE Manager you will be responsible for developing a robust environmental improvement plan in line with the organisational strategy to encourage continuous improvement around the sites. Other responsibilities of the HSE Manager include;
 

  • Drive and improve performance by implementing health and safety strategic direction within the business, encouraging a safety first culture.
  • Run related training and competency programs for the UK
  • Conduct regular site inspections to check policies and procedures are adhered to, working with senior staff to develop and implement processes in line with compliance needs.
  • Report KPl's to senior leadership and conducting relevant activities regarding legislation updates and strategic
  • You will be the key contact for all Health, safety and environmental enquiries, issues and record
  • Manage and maintain relevant ISO certifications.
  • Ensure the legal compliance register is updated and any relevant actions are communicated and closed out in a timely manner.
  • Conduct gap analysis to plan for the achievement of the ISO accreditation
 
The HSE Manager will be required to have a NEBOSH level 6 Diploma or an equivalent and an IEMA Certificate in Environmental Management would be desirable. The successful HSE Manager must be a qualified ISO Auditor and it would be desirable that they hold memberships of IOSH as well as IEMA.

Role Pur ose



 

As a HSE Manager, you will have a passion for the wellbeing of our employees and the environment You will be eager to drive cultural change through positive engagement and awareness.

 

You'II be responsible for the management and improvement of the health, safety, and environmental performance of our UK Sites in line with organisational HSE strategy.

 

You will have a NEBOSH Level 6 Diploma or equivalent alongside extensive experience in championing workplace safety and environmental awareness, driving compliance through employee engagement and knowledge sharing.

 



Accountabilities

  • You will conduct regular site inspections to check policies and procedures are adhered to, working with managers to develop and implement processes in line with compliance needs.
  • You will be responsible for reporting HSE KPl's to senior leadership and conducting relevent activities regarding legislation updates and strategic alignment.
  • You will develop a robust environmental improvement plan inline with the organisational strategy to encourage continuous improvement around the sites.
  • You will be the key contact for all HSE enquiries, issues and record keping.
  • You will manage and maintain ISO certifications related to HSE.
  • You will need to ensure the legal compliance register is updated and any relevant actions are communicated and closed out in a timely manner.
  • You will conduct gap analysis to plan for the achievenent of the ISO accrediation.
 



Skills



 

  • NEBOSH Level 6 Diploma (or working towards it) or equivalent is essential.
  • IEMA Certificate in Environmental Management is desirable.
  • ISO auditor.
  • Strong HSE knowledge and experience
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Membership of IOSH (Desirable)
  • Membership of IEMA (Desirable)
