We are looking for an experienced Interim Health & Safety Officer with a background in Adult Social Care to join a leading care home provider on a temporary basis. This role is integral to ensuring the safety and well-being of both residents and staff, providing critical support during the launch of a new audit framework and fire safety initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and ensure compliance with health and safety standards across care homes, with a focus on adult social care.
  • Provide support and guidance to care home staff on maintaining a safe environment for vulnerable adults.
  • Assist in the implementation of a new audit framework, ensuring it meets regulatory standards and best practices.
  • Lead on fire safety - reviewing and ensuring policies are in line with standards.
  • Take on ad hoc projects as required, ensuring a proactive approach to safety and compliance.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Proven experience in health and safety within adult social care settings.
  • Strong knowledge of fire safety regulations and the ability to implement robust safety measures.
  • Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to manage ad hoc projects.
  • Willingness to travel nationally as required.
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a hybrid working environment.
