Job Description:

We are delighted to be working closely with one of the leading not for profit providers in the UK. I’m looking to appoint a Home Manager for their residential home local to Rotherhithe.

Hours: Full time

Salary £53k per annum 
 

The Company

My client currently operates in excess of 100 care homes, providing leading services in residential care and the development of specialist services for residents with higher dependency needs. This includes; nursing care for infirm elderly, respite care, step-up and step-down care, end-of-life care and an award-winning specialist dementia service that is studied internationally.

Key Responsibilities
 
As Home Manager, your role is the most senior position in the Home. Reporting into the off-site Divisional Director, you will be responsible for all aspects of running the home including ensuring the provision of the highest care standards, developing the home, increasing and maintaining occupancy and managing the budget. The role will also require you to lead an established staff team.
 
Experience Required
 

  • Substantial experience of managing a Care/Nursing Home and track record of managing and leading an established staff team
  • High level of care knowledge and strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills
  • Prior experience and understanding of person-centered care
  • You will have the ability to manage both the care and ancillary functions of a care home
  • Experience with Dementia care
  • Good or Outstanding CQC Rating
  • Experience of developing senior carers to deliver quality care and best practice
  • Monitor business performance and quality of care through routine audit
  • Building effective relationships with local staffing team
  • Commitment to recruiting high calibre candidates
  • NVQ/RMA Level 5 in Management and Leadership or a Registered Manager Award (or equivalent).
