Gilbert Meher is proud to be working with a valued client on the recruitment of a Residential Operations Manager. The company is a growing provider of Education and Care across the South West of England.

The role of the Residential Operations Manager is to lead the residential care services within our client's Education division (and other group operations as required), ensuring that the Management Team are highly motivated to:
• support the delivery, growth and development of high quality Educational services,
• establish and sustain sector leading safeguarding and service delivery practices,
• provide outstanding leadership for our people,
• embed the our client's Values and Code of Conduct to build a working culture that attracts, retains and motivates Employees.

As Residential Operations Manager your main duties will be:
- To assist the Operations Director in the delivery of the business unit plan and delivery of organisational strategic projects.
- To provide effective and consistent leadership to management teams in order to ensure high quality service delivery and business outcomes within safe and effective environments.
- To oversee and ensure the effective use of resources, focusing on the financial performance of the Services, i.e. zero agency use and meeting budgeted occupancy.
- To create and facilitate the substructure for recruitment within the Services.
- To ensure that each of the Services operate with occupancy as set in the contract, financial models or KPI’s.
- To work in conjunction with the Quality Team to establish best practice and ensure fulfilment of applicable contractual Quality and Regulatory Standards appertaining to operation of the services, in order to meet Customer requirements and individual KPIs as set by the business.
- To lead on safeguarding oversight across the Education services ensuring effective use of process and safeguarding of all individuals we support.
- To accurately and authentically represent the Business vision, strategy and values and ensure that Managers do the same.
- To shape and develop the performance of Managers, within scope, using the Competency Framework to ensure that all Managers are meeting expectations in terms of performance and behaviour.
- Identifying and communicating opportunities for new business and business development/growth.
- Use reports and data to accurately predict and anticipate changes in the services and local market that benefit the organisation and People we support.
- To be care and people centric focused on the outcomes for our People we support and teams. Each decision aligned to our overall group strategy and values.
- Lead on the delivery of up to date childcare or relevant care type by keeping up-to-date with sector developments and/or recognised initiatives.
- Be the Responsible/Nominated Individual as required provided by the Company.
- Be the Designated Safeguarding Lead, where required, to ensure the safeguarding of all individuals we support.
