Job Description:

Gilbert Meher are working with a Life Sciences company who are building a market-leading sales team in the UK.

The company are seeking a Sales Manager for the  UK to drive revenue growth in the region, developing new relationships with laboratories to ensure the commercial success of the product portfolio.

Responsibilities:

  • Focus on developing both new and existing lab-based accounts (pharma, biotech, academic) throughout the south of the UK, reaching out to new customers, attending site visits and ultimately closing deals.
  • Cross-sell throughout the product portfolio to ensure maximum revenue from each sale.
  • Keep finger on the pulse of the laboratory space, using market knowledge to maximise sales.
  • Develop and nurture relationships with multiple call-points within the lab, including researching, engineering, procurement, manufacturing.
  • Drive towards KPIs and other goals as set by Sales Leader.
Requirements:
  • BSc in Life Sciences-related subject with proven field sales experience from any field OR proven Life Sciences sales experience. (Note: scientific education is not necessary for someone who has pre-existing life sciences sales experience).
  • Comfortable in a high-volume sales role.
  • Results-driven, self-driven and ambitious individual who enjoys working in metric-driven roles.
  • Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to cross-sell and close on deals.
  • An excellent communicator, with the ability to build relationships with multiple stakeholders.
  • Driven to work in a growing company environment, enjoys a fast-paced culture and works well under pressure.
  • Willing and able to travel up to 4 days a week, including overnights.
