Gilbert Meher is pleased to support the Yorkshire & The Humber regional Great British Care Awards 2020.

The Great British Care Awards are a series of regional events throughout the UK and are a celebration of excellence across the care sector.

Tom Lawrenson, Divisional Director at Gilbert Meher said; “For many people, Social Care is more than a job, it’s a passion. Care staff and teams regularly go above and beyond, often putting the needs of others first to provide comfort and kindness to those in need.

"Gilbert Meher is truly proud to partner with the Care Awards to recognise the tremendous efforts, hard work and dedication of individuals and teams across Social Care in Yorkshire and The Humber.

"These people spend every working day providing compassionate care to patients, carers and families and we’re privileged to be able to support and champion these inspiring people.”

Tom will be joined on the judging panel for The Care Home Registered Manager Award by Corrie Keable, Client Development Manager in Gilbert Meher's dedicated Nursing + Care team.

About the Awards

The purpose of the awards is to pay tribute to those individuals who have demonstrated outstanding excellence within their field of work. There are twenty-one awards categories available for nomination, which represent all areas of the social care sector, whether it be older people or specialist services, residential or home care. From frontline staff such as care workers and care managers to people who have made an impact in other ways such as training and innovation.

The awards are all inclusive, bringing together the statutory, independent and voluntary sectors, as well as unpaid carers; promoting joint working. Working in partnership with care partners and local care associations is at the heart of the initiative; working and linking directly with local managers and networks to further promote the event.

The regional awards will be held in April 2021.
