Gilbert Meher Supports Government Kickstart Scheme

16 Mar 2021

Gilbert Meher is pleased to support the Government’s Kickstart scheme, aimed at getting 16–24-year-olds into employment.

The scheme means those aged between 16 and 24 and who are receiving Universal Credit are able to apply for the several Kickstart positions across the company.

Emma Gormley and Savanna Nelson-Murray are the first to join the team at Gilbert Meher and will take up roles as Executive Researcher and Brand Assistant, respectively.

Jonathon Brooks, director, said: “We are proud to be backing this important scheme. During these difficult economic times, young people are particularly at risk of unemployment and we’re pleased to be able to help Emma and Savanna gain valuable experience and training.

“Over the past 12 months, we’ve been doing every we can to extend our partnership with the care community to help them overcome the challenges and opportunities as a result of the pandemic. Emma and Savanna will support and strengthen our teams and we’re looking forward to developing their skills to help them in their future careers.”

There are still 3 recruitment research roles available at Gilbert Meher that are open to job seekers who qualify for the scheme.
