The Challenge

It’s no secret that the Health and Social Care sector is facing a major recruitment challenge. Implementation of the national living wage, Care Worker shortages and increasing competition from other sectors such as retail have led some healthcare providers to close services and restructure their businesses. The sector is undoubtedly struggling to manage the ever-increasing demand and dwindling supply of suitably qualified and experienced staff. Gilbert Meher were approached to manage a Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) for the company in 2015. an RPO process is when a company transfers all or part of its permanent recruitment to an external provider. This agreement entails all permanent recruitment of staff members across the organisation.
