Success Stories: Excelcare

20 Jun 2019

Search: Finance Director

Client: Excelcare

Industry: Elderly Care – Finance

Company size: 501 - 1000

About The Company:

Excelcare offer specialist residential care, domiciliary care and nursing care across the London, Cambrige, Essex and Milton Keynes areas for over 1000 residents and have been substantially expanding their company and senior team.

The Challenge

A role within the Excelcare senior management team opened up, and as they are in a key part of their growth with ambitious plans to develop, they urgently needed an experienced Finance Director with history in the care sector that could help them scale the business effectively over the coming years.

As this was an urgent position, we discussed the position with multiple members of the senior management team to discuss exactly what they were looking for and what gaps the individual would be coming in to fill, to ensure that we weren’t wasting time sending candidates that didn’t fit the spec or the culture of the company.

The Solution

After speaking through the role and the impact on the business, Gilbert Meher started a coordinated recruitment process, speaking initially with our own networks, before adopting a headhunt approach and reaching out to passive candidates that could be interested in the right role.

After pooling our market knowledge, we identified a number of relevant experiences that would help us find the right person, and applied those experiences to a headhunt search that allowed us to single down an extensive shortlist to a manageable amount, saving the internal recruitment team time from sifting through multiple profiles.

The Result

This rigorous search resulted in 3 CV submissions within the week, with an offer being made within two weeks. Due to the initial briefings with the client on the role, we were able to properly inform the candidates on the company and ensure that there was full transparency throughout the process to match the right individual for the right role.
