Role: Group Commissioning Manager
Location: Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Essex and London
Salary: £80,000 + bonus (up to 10%)

About the Role An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and passionate care home leader to join a growing care home group as Group Commissioning Manager.

This pivotal role will see you take responsibility for commissioning new care homes, driving projects from initial planning through to successful launch, while ensuring homes deliver exceptional care and achieve commercial success. With two new developments underway in Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire, as well as a recently opened flagship home, this is a unique chance to shape the future of a respected and expanding care provider.
You will also support refurbishment projects, provide operational guidance across established homes, and step into interim management cover where required. As part of the Senior Leadership Team, you will collaborate closely with colleagues to drive quality, compliance, and performance across the group.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead commissioning of new care homes and oversee smooth transition into full operation.
  • Provide commissioning support to new and existing homes, including major refurbishments.
  • Support home managers to maintain the highest standards of care and compliance.
  • Step in as interim cover when needed to ensure continuity of leadership.
  • Contribute at Senior Leadership level to strategic planning and operational delivery.
About You
  • Proven leadership experience in the care sector, ideally across multiple homes.
  • Strong track record in commissioning new care homes.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Sound understanding of CQC requirements, staffing, budgeting, and operations.
  • Hands-on, proactive, and commercially astute.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a car (essential).
  • Nursing qualification (RGN) desirable but not essential.
