Are you a seasoned estates and facilities leader looking to make a real impact in the care sector?
We’re working with a growing care home provider with a portfolio of high-quality services across the North of England. As part of their continued expansion and commitment to delivering outstanding environments for residents and staff alike, they are seeking a Head of Estates and Facilities to lead their property operations.
The Role As Head of Estates and Facilities, you’ll take strategic and operational responsibility for the management, maintenance, compliance, and development of the organisation’s care home properties. This is a hands-on, visible role requiring a mix of strong leadership, technical expertise, and a deep understanding of safety and compliance in a regulated setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee all aspects of estates and facilities management across the portfolio
  • Ensure all buildings remain compliant with relevant legislation including CQC, Health & Safety, Fire Safety, and Environmental standards
  • Oversee planned preventative maintenance (PPM) programmes, refurbishments, and capex projects
  • Manage external contractors, service providers, and suppliers to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness
  • Support acquisition and development projects as the group continues to expand
  • Provide strategic input into property planning and futureproofing of facilities
  • Ensure that all environments are safe, welcoming, and fit for purpose for residents and staff
About You
  • Proven experience in estates/facilities/property management, ideally within healthcare, social care, or another regulated sector
  • Knowledge of statutory compliance requirements relating to buildings and care environments
  • Strong contractor management and negotiation skills
  • Confident in leading on capital projects, refurbishment, and maintenance planning
  • Able to work across multiple sites and willing to travel across the North of England
  • Professional qualifications in estates/facilities (e.g. IWFM, IOSH, NEBOSH) desirable
