Lead Nurse (Nights)

Job Description:

We are delighted to be working closely with one of the leading not for profit providers in the UK. I’m looking to appoint a Lead Nurse for a fully compliant home local to Battersea, London.

Role: Lead Nurse (RGN)
Hours: Full Time
Shifts: Days
Salary £45k per annum (based on 40 hours per week)
Location: Battersea, London
 
 Key Responsibilities

• To promote the philosophy of privacy, dignity, independence, choice, rights and fulfilment for all residents, within a policy of managed risk taking.
• Manage staff rotas ensuring these are used to the best effect for the physical, social and emotional care of residents and effective running of the establishment.
• Ensure that team members understand and endorse the aims and objectives of the home by guidance, instruction and practice.
• Responsibility for clear lines of communications ensuring employees are fully conversant with their duties – to include holding regular team meetings, promotion of an effective keycarer system and supervision of team members.
• Identify training needs. Participate in the planning and implementation of in-house training, including induction training for new employees.
• Take appropriate action to remedy any unsatisfactory employee performance, recordingany significant action

• Registered Nurse with a valid NMC PIN
• Update DBS check / willing to undergo a DBS check
• Experience of taking accountability for completing person centred care plans accurately and clearly
• Working to the standards set by the Regulators and by external bodies
• Experience of proactively conducting and managing Residents’ reviews taking account of the Resident or their Representatives’ needs and wishes
