Registered Manager – Abercynon
Salary: Up to £75,000 + DOE
Nurse Essential | Nursing Home

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Registered Manager to join a well-established nursing home in Abercynon. This role requires a qualified Nurse  with proven leadership skills and a strong understanding of regulatory compliance, clinical governance, and quality care standards.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the service, ensuring the highest levels of care are delivered, while leading, motivating, and developing a dedicated team.

Key Requirements:

  • NMC-registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) – essential
  • Previous experience as a Registered Manager or senior leader in a nursing home setting
  • Proven success in managing CIW inspections, with ratings of “Good” or higher
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks, clinical governance, and safeguarding
  • Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills
Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide strong, visible leadership to staff, fostering a positive and supportive workplace culture
  • Ensure the delivery of safe, person-centred care in line with CIW standards and best practice
  • Manage, monitor, and maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements
  • Oversee and support clinical teams, ensuring robust care planning and risk management
  • Lead on staff recruitment, development, and performance management
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation within the home
  • Prepare for, lead, and respond effectively to CIW inspections and audits
  • Build strong relationships with residents, families, staff, and external stakeholders
