Clinical Deputy Manager – Nursing Home, Dover
£52,000 – £55,000
We are seeking a dedicated and clinically strong Deputy Manager (Nurse qualified) to support the leadership of our medium-sized nursing home in Dover, Kent. The home is well-established, rated “Good” by CQC, and supported by a stable team, offering an excellent environment for a motivated nurse leader to thrive.
The Role:
This is a predominantly supernumerary position, giving you the time and scope to focus on clinical leadership, governance, and staff development. However, flexibility is required to cover nursing shifts when necessary, ensuring the smooth running of the service and continuity of safe, effective care.
You will work closely with the Home Manager to maintain compliance, support occupancy growth, and promote a positive culture of person-centred care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical leadership and mentorship to the nursing and care team.
- Oversee care planning, medication management, and safeguarding practices.
- Support the Home Manager with compliance, audits, and governance.
- Step in to cover shifts where needed, ensuring safe and consistent staffing.
- Promote best practice and drive continuous improvement in care delivery.
About You:- RMN or RGN with an active NMC PIN.
- Experience in a senior nursing role (Deputy, Clinical Lead, or Unit Manager).
- Excellent leadership, organisational, and mentoring skills.
- Strong understanding of CQC requirements and clinical best practice.
- Flexible, proactive, and committed to delivering high-quality care.
