Clinical Lead – Nursing Home
Location: Shippon, Oxford
Salary: Up to £62,500 per annum
Hours: 40 hours per week (predominantly supernumerary)
Shift Pattern: Alternate weekend working required
Setting: Large Nursing Home

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and compassionate Clinical Lead to join a reputable and well-established nursing home located in the picturesque village of Shippon, near Oxford. This large, purpose-built home offers exceptional standards of care for older adults, including those living with dementia and complex nursing needs.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Home Manager to ensure the highest level of clinical care is consistently delivered. This is a key leadership role, with the majority of hours worked in a supernumerary capacity, allowing for focused oversight, mentoring, audits, and care planning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strong clinical leadership and ensure best practice across the nursing team
• Support with staff supervision, development, and ongoing training
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date care plans and clinical documentation
• Assist in managing clinical governance, audits, and compliance with CQC standards
• Work alternate weekends to support continuity of care and leadership presence

• NMC Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) with an active PIN
• Proven experience in a senior nursing role within a care home setting
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Passionate about delivering person-centred care and driving quality improvements
