Role: Commissioning Care Home General Manager
Salary: Up to £95,000 + bonus & benefits
Location: Surbiton

My client is seeking an inspirational General Manager to lead the opening and successful operation of a new luxury care home. This is an exciting opportunity for a proven leader to shape the culture, reputation, and performance of a flagship service from day one.

As General Manager, you will have full accountability for all aspects of the home — from care quality and compliance to sales, occupancy, team engagement, and financial outcomes. You’ll combine strategic oversight with hands-on operational leadership, ensuring every resident and their family experiences exceptional care and hospitality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead & Inspire – Provide strong, visible leadership across all departments, fostering a culture of excellence and compassion.
  • Deliver Outstanding Care – Ensure residents receive the highest standard of personalised care and hospitality.
  • Drive Sales & Occupancy – Partner with sales teams to maximise occupancy and revenue through proactive leadership.
  • Ensure Compliance – Build positive relationships with regulators and maintain inspection readiness at all times.
  • Manage Budgets – Oversee financial performance, staffing, and resources, ensuring sustainability and growth.
  • Develop Teams – Mentor and coach colleagues, supporting their professional growth and driving high performance.
  • Promote Safety & Standards – Maintain the highest levels of health, safety, and risk management.
