About the Role

My client is seeking an inspirational General Manager to lead a new, luxury care residence. This is an exceptional opportunity to take full ownership of a state-of-the-art home, shaping its culture, ensuring the highest standards of care, and delivering a five-star experience for residents and their families.

The General Manager will act as the CQC Registered Manager, responsible for all aspects of operational performance including care quality, compliance, occupancy, financial outcomes, and team engagement. You’ll lead with integrity and vision, creating an environment where residents thrive and teams feel valued.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide outstanding leadership across all departments, motivating and empowering your team to deliver excellence.
  • Ensure full compliance with CQC and all statutory requirements, aiming for “Outstanding” ratings.
  • Oversee budgets, business planning, and financial performance to ensure revenue and profit targets are achieved.
  • Drive occupancy through effective marketing, sales tours, and relationship-building with referrers and the local community.
  • Champion brand standards, ensuring every aspect of the residence reflects quality, safety, and hospitality.
  • Recruit, train, and develop staff, fostering a culture of professionalism, compassion, and continuous improvement.
About You
  • Experienced leader with a strong background in care, hospitality, or healthcare.
  • Proven track record in operational and financial management.
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to build strong relationships with residents, families, staff, and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of CQC regulations and care governance is essential.
  • Management qualification (e.g. ILM 5, Registered Managers Award) is desirable.
