Commissioning Home Manager – North Yorkshire Salary: Up to £75,000 per annum + performance-based commissioning bonus (OTE £100,000)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Commissioning Home Manager to lead the opening of a brand-new, luxury care home in North Yorkshire.

With ambitious plans for further development and new home openings across the next 18 months, this role offers both immediate challenge and long-term career growth.
As the Home Manager, you’ll take full responsibility for registering the service with the CQC, recruiting and developing your team, and driving the successful launch and occupancy of the home. You’ll work closely with an experienced COO who has over 20 years’ experience in senior leadership roles, ensuring you have strong support from day one.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the commissioning and registration of a new purpose-built care home.
- Recruit, mentor, and develop a brand-new team to deliver outstanding care.
- Establish a positive, person-centred culture from the ground up.
- Build strong relationships with local authorities, health professionals, and the wider community.
- Oversee all aspects of service quality, compliance, and operational excellence.
- Drive a safe, sustainable occupancy growth strategy with a focus on quality admissions.
About You To be considered, you
must have:
- Proven commissioning experience – having successfully opened and managed a new care home from registration through to occupancy.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and empower teams.
- Excellent knowledge of CQC regulations and compliance standards.
- A confident, professional, and engaging communication style.
- The ability to work autonomously while collaborating closely with senior leadership.
Desirable:- Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN) qualification – not essential but advantageous.
