Clinical Deputy Manager – Nursing Home – Knutsford

Salary: £23.00 – £25.00 per hour

Hours: Full-time, permanent

An established and well-regarded 40+ bedded nursing home in Knutsford is seeking an experienced Clinical Deputy Manager to join its dedicated team. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and clinically strong nurse leader to step into a key management role within a supportive and forward-thinking care environment.

Set in the heart of Knutsford, this purpose-built nursing home is known for delivering high-quality, person-centred care to older adults, including those living with dementia and complex needs. The home has a Good CQC rating and is part of a respected care provider that prioritises resident well-being and continuous improvement.

The Role:

The Clinical Deputy Manager will support the Home Manager in overseeing the day-to-day clinical operations of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care and compliance are maintained. The successful candidate will lead by example, supporting and mentoring the care and nursing teams, driving clinical excellence, and deputising in the manager’s absence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical leadership and guidance to the nursing and care teams
  • Oversee care planning, medication management, and clinical audits
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and best practices
  • Support staff development through supervision, training, and performance management
  • Act as a point of contact for residents, families, and external professionals
Requirements:
  • Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN) with a valid NMC pin
  • Previous leadership experience in a nursing home or similar setting
  • Strong clinical knowledge and understanding of current care standards
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A compassionate, resident-focused approach
