General Manager – Residential Care Home
Location: Leicestershire
Salary: Up to £65,000 + 25% Bonus 

Are you an experienced Home Manager ready to take on an exciting leadership opportunity within a newly opened residential care service? We are seeking a strong, confident General Manager to take the reins of a near-completed commissioning project and drive it through to full occupancy and operational excellence.
This state-of-the-art home is already well on its way, with the team more or less fully recruited and two of the three floors open to residents. Your focus will be on leading the final phase: opening and filling the remaining floor, embedding high standards of care, and ensuring the home establishes itself as a beacon of quality in the community.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Leading the home through the final stage of commissioning, ensuring a smooth transition to full operational status.
• Driving occupancy for the final floor while maintaining excellent care standards across the home.
• Providing strong, visible leadership to staff, residents, and families.
• Ensuring compliance with all regulatory frameworks and company standards.
• Embedding a culture of resident-centred care, safety, and continuous improvement.
• Working closely with senior leadership on performance, quality, and commercial goals.

• A proven Home Manager / General Manager with strong leadership capability.
• Commissioning experience is highly desirable, but not essential if you’ve successfully led large care services and delivered results.
• Solid knowledge of CQC standards and operational good practice.
• A confident communicator who can inspire teams and build a positive reputation locally.
• Someone commercially aware, able to balance quality with sustainable occupancy growth.
