Interim Quality Manager/Head of Nursing
Location: Hybrid (approx. 3/4 days/week in services)
Salary: £450 -£500 per day.
Contract: 6 month - possbility ot extend 

A highly regarded care provider with a strong track record of delivering outstanding care to older adults is seeking an Interim Quality and Compliance Lead to support and strengthen regulatory compliance and quality assurance across its portfolio of services.
This is a pivotal role at a key point in the organisation’s journey, as it builds on its established reputation for care excellence while also embracing innovation and sector-leading practices.

The Role
Working closely with the senior operational and clinical teams, the Quality and Compliance Lead will be responsible for ensuring ongoing compliance with regulatory frameworks, including CQC and safeguarding standards, and for leading on continuous quality improvement initiatives.
This includes supporting services to maintain or achieve high inspection ratings, driving improvements in clinical governance, and embedding a culture of excellence, safety, and personalised care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead regulatory compliance efforts across the homes, including preparation for inspections and internal audits.
  • Support the roll-out and embedding of a new clinical governance framework.
  • Conduct quality audits and work with managers to implement action plans.
  • Deliver training and develop resources to strengthen quality and compliance understanding.
  • Oversee incident and complaint investigations, embedding lessons learned.
  • Provide leadership on safeguarding matters and ensure consistent practice across all services.
  • Act as a key link between operational teams and external stakeholders on all quality and compliance matters.
  • Support the development and application of consistent policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to strategic projects, including innovation in care approaches and dementia care.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Strong background in health or social care quality and compliance (RGN/RMN qualification is a must).
  • In-depth knowledge of CQC regulations, safeguarding, and clinical governance.
  • Experience in managing quality assurance frameworks and regulatory inspections.
  • Excellent auditing, training delivery, and report-writing skills.
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities, with the confidence to influence at all levels.
  • Tech-savvy and confident using digital care and compliance platforms.
  • Relevant qualifications in health and social care (e.g. NVQ Level 5 or equivalent).
